Gas package units

Natural gas and propane
We work on both. Propane furnaces need a different orifice size and gas pressure than natural gas, and converting between the two is a job for someone who does it regularly. If you are switching fuel sources, or your new house has propane and the old one had natural gas, we can convert or replace the equipment correctly.

How often should a gas furnace be inspected?
Once a year, before heating season. The heat exchanger and venting should be checked every time.
What are the signs of a cracked heat exchanger?
Yellow or flickering burner flames, soot around the furnace, a carbon monoxide detector going off, or headaches and nausea when the heat runs. If you suspect it, turn the furnace off and call.
Can a cracked heat exchanger be repaired?
No. It has to be replaced, and on most furnaces that means replacing the furnace.
